SHELBY STEELE
FOUNDER | OWNER | INSTRUCTOR
Shelby was born and raised in Spokane and is excited to bring her passion for fitness and community back home. She spent nearly a decade dancing professionally in New York City and Los Angeles, with television credits including the Grammys with J. Balvin, America’s Got Talent with Ben Platt, music videos with Lindsey Stirling and the 2023 FIFA World Cup as well as national commercials and print campaigns for Garmin. During this time, she became an advanced certified Lagree trainer and taught at PPLA, one of Los Angeles' top Lagree studios. Her experience includes working with clients in both group classes and private sessions. Shelby founded The Lagree Collective to introduce Spokane to the global impact of the Lagree method—known for its efficiency, intensity, and results. Her goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome, supported, and inspired to redefine their strength.
ZACH STEELE
OPERATIONS MANAGER | OWNER
Zach is a Spokane native and former multi-sport athlete at Saint George’s School. He’s excited to work alongside his sister, helping bring The Lagree Collective to life. Zach plays a key role in keeping everything running smoothly at TLC, bringing a thoughtful, grounded approach to the studio’s day-to-day operations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, where he also worked with the Women’s Basketball Team and the Sports Information Department. You’ll often find Zach at the front desk, greeting clients and keeping things on track behind the scenes. Calm, dependable, and always ready to help, he’s here to make sure your experience at TLC is seamless from the moment you walk in the door.
EMILY NELSON
Emily is a Spokane native and former standout basketball player who competed at the state tournament all four years while attending Mt. Spokane High School. She continued her athletic career at Saint Martin’s University, where she played collegiate basketball and earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology in 2023. In 2026, she completed her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Washington University.
Emily was drawn to teaching Lagree because of her love for the method, its unique approach to fitness, and the incredible community that makes The Lagree Collective so special. Her favorite move is the Platform Spider Kick, and she brings a positive, encouraging energy to every class she teaches. Passionate about movement and helping others feel their best, Emily is excited to support clients as they challenge themselves, build strength, and discover what makes Lagree so addictive.
